After a large ovarian cyst, Rani was cleared for a craniotomy, but the bill is more than we can manage.

Jabalpur
Rani was diagnosed with a large ovarian cyst in April. The surgeon at Jabalpur Community Hospital recommended a craniotomy, and She is scheduled for July. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $750, and after what my insurance will pay we're still $450 short. my sister has been in and out of Jabalpur Community Hospital since April. The doctors say a large ovarian cyst will get worse without a craniotomy. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $750 is more than we can find. While we wait, Rani struggles with daily life and can't work a full shift. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there. The recovery period is expected to take about 5 weeks. During that time Rani won't be able to work a full shift, so the costs keep growing. I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section. Where the $450 goes: • Physiotherapy sessions: $70 • Travel and lodging for the family: $50 • Hospital stay (4 nights): $230 • Pre-operative tests and imaging: $100 Thank you for reading my story. - Mahesh
