Rizky, my grandfather, passed away on 30 November after a short illness. He was 52 years old. He was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance.
The funeral home has given us a quote of $700 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 12 December.
I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Rizky to have a dignified farewell.
Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers.
Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to a local food bank.

• Funeral home services and casket: $380

Hope things get better soon. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Take care.
