Help Rami restart a neighborhood bakery in Cairo after a break-in
Rami lost a commercial oven to a break-in and needs $400 to reopen a neighborhood bakery and support the family.

For three years I have run a neighborhood bakery in Cairo. In August, a break-in took a commercial oven. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Sunday, and I employed 1 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 3 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $400 goes:
• Replacing a commercial oven: $210
• Initial stock: flour, butter and sugar: $100
• Shop repairs and licensing: $55
• Working capital for the first month: $35
Thank you for reading my story.

Updates from Rami
Good news. Because of your gifts ($93 in total) the plan for working capital for the first month is now scheduled. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.

Thinking of you and your family. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Wish I lived closer to Lagos so I could bring a meal. All the best.
