Raimundo was diagnosed with prostate cancer in June. The oncology team at Vitória da Conquista University Hospital has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in September. He will be away from work for about 3 weeks. Raimundo is 55, worked as a cleaner at a hospital until June, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Vitória da Conquista University Hospital 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $2,750 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,850 • Scans and lab work: $300 • Transport to Vitória da Conquista University Hospital: $145 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $120 • Household costs while unable to work: $335 Thank you so much.

      Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. chemotherapy and medication not covered comes first ($1,850) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. Fair thing to want to know.
