Radhika was diagnosed with an aortic valve defect in January. The surgeon at Thane General Hospital recommended cataract surgery, and She is scheduled for April. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,150, and after what my employer's plan will pay we're still $800 short.
my mother has been in and out of Thane General Hospital since January. The doctors say an aortic valve defect will get worse without cataract surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,150 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Radhika struggles with daily life and can't look after the children alone. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
