Radha was diagnosed with gallstones with repeated infections in August. The surgeon at Nagpur University Hospital recommended laparoscopic cyst removal, and She is scheduled for November. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $860, and after what the government subsidy will pay we're still $600 short.
my mother has been in and out of Nagpur University Hospital since August. The doctors say gallstones with repeated infections will get worse without laparoscopic cyst removal. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $860 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Radha struggles with daily life and can't lift anything heavy. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 6 weeks. During that time Radha won't be able to lift anything heavy, so the costs keep growing.
