Help Quinn keep the Open Hands Pantry pantry stocked
The Open Hands Pantry pantry in Albany is running low just as demand rises; $3,050 will stock it for 10 weeks.

Since 2023, our volunteer team has run Open Hands Pantry every Wednesday from the back of a borrowed garage. We started with 19 families, and now we feed 132 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 33% this school holidays, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 13 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Albany market and keep every receipt.
Each $40 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $3,050 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $1,450
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $750
• Baby formula and diapers: $470
• Refrigeration and electricity: $380

Sure. The biggest one is rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale), $1,450. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Happy to explain more.
