Help Prasad pay for laparoscopic cyst removal at Surat General Hospital
After a torn ligament that needs reconstruction, Prasad was cleared for laparoscopic cyst removal, but the bill is more than we can manage.

Prasad was diagnosed with a torn ligament that needs reconstruction in August. The surgeon at Surat General Hospital recommended laparoscopic cyst removal, and He is scheduled for October. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $440, and after what the public health scheme will pay we're still $350 short.
my son has been in and out of Surat General Hospital since August. The doctors say a torn ligament that needs reconstruction will get worse without laparoscopic cyst removal. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $440 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Prasad struggles with daily life and can't drive. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 10 weeks. During that time Prasad won't be able to drive, so the costs keep growing.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.
Where the $350 goes:
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $90
• Physiotherapy sessions: $65
• Hospital stay (3 nights): $195

Stay strong, Apurva. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. I went through something like this 3 years ago and strangers helped me out.
Thanks for sharing this, Apurva. Shared it with a few friends. Sent it to 40 people at work. All the best
