Pradeep is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a computer science degree at Ottawa Polytechnic, and is one term away from graduating. He has worked as a library assistant to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $4,350.
The registrar has said Pradeep can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Pradeep has a 3.9 average, and a faculty supervisor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Pradeep would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Pradeep isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the Ottawa Polytechnic bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
Where the $4,350 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $1,000
• Final term tuition: $2,850
• Exam and lab fees: $310
• Textbooks and materials: $190
Every share and every dollar helps.
