Help Pilar replace the transmission and return to work
Without my pickup Pilar can't work; a $400 repair would put her back on the road.

I make my living with my pickup. 5 weeks ago the transmission failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $400. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my 4 children. Before the breakdown I worked ten hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next three months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
All money will go toward the parts and labor on the estimate, with a small amount for road tax and insurance renewal.
Where the $400 goes:
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $65
• transmission replacement (parts): $320
• Towing and inspection: $15
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.

Thinking of you and your family. It takes guts to ask. Well done. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. All the best
Thinking of you. Looking forward to the next update. Greetings from Oakland.
