Peyton was diagnosed with severe cataracts in both eyes in June. The surgeon at Sherbrooke Orthopedic Institute recommended a partial thyroidectomy, and She is scheduled for September. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $6,000, and after what the public health scheme will pay we're still $4,700 short.
my daughter has been in and out of Sherbrooke Orthopedic Institute since June. The doctors say severe cataracts in both eyes will get worse without a partial thyroidectomy. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $6,000 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Peyton struggles with daily life and can't work a full shift. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
