Help Peter keep his home - 4 months behind on rent

After a car accident that kept me from work for 8 weeks, Peter fell 4 months behind on rent. Last Friday a notice to vacate was taped to the door, and the amount owed is $250. The landlord was understanding for a while, but has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by October, the family must leave. There are two young children at home. Moving would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
