Latha, my sister, passed away on 28 April after a road accident. She was 37 years old. She was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance. The funeral home has given us a quote of $700 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 17 May. I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Latha to have a dignified farewell. Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers. Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to the Durgapur hospice. Where the $700 goes: • Memorial gathering for the family: $40 • Cemetery plot and burial fees: $300 • Funeral home services and casket: $360 I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
