The gas account is 3 months behind. Parvati received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on September unless $100 is paid. She had never been late before an unexpected car repair. Parvati called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $20 first, which isn't available. The household includes a disabled brother, and going through winter without gas isn't safe. We can't cook, keep medicine cold or heat the home. Parvati is working on getting back on her feet, and wants to pay it forward once steady. The money will go directly to the utility provider, and I'll post the paid statement here. Where the $100 goes: • Water arrears: $55 • Reconnection and late fees: $15 • Down payment on a payment plan: $30 Thanks for being kind about this.
