Paolo was diagnosed with a cleft palate needing repair in July. The surgeon at Caloocan Orthopedic Institute recommended laparoscopic endometriosis surgery, and He is scheduled for November. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $250, and after what the public health scheme will pay we're still $200 short.
my husband has been in and out of Caloocan Orthopedic Institute since July. The doctors say a cleft palate needing repair will get worse without laparoscopic endometriosis surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $250 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Paolo struggles with daily life and can't stand for more than ten minutes. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 5 weeks. During that time Paolo won't be able to stand for more than ten minutes, so the costs keep growing.
