Otávio is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying an electrical engineering diploma at Belém University, and is one term away from graduating. He has worked as a night-shift cleaner to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $1,550.
The registrar has said Otávio can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Otávio has a distinction average, and an academic advisor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Otávio would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Otávio isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
Where the $1,550 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $460
• Final term tuition: $880
• Exam and lab fees: $85
• Textbooks and materials: $125
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Thinking of you and your family, Amanda. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Love from Cork.
You're not alone, Amanda. Shared it with a few friends. Don't be hard on yourself for asking.
