Help Onyango keep the Neighbors' Pantry pantry stocked
Onyango runs a volunteer pantry feeding 400 families; this fund restocks shelves for the school holidays.

Since 2023, our volunteer team has run Neighbors' Pantry every Sunday from the back of the old library basement. We started with 23 families, and now we feed 400 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 50% this school holidays, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 7 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Mbale market and keep every receipt.
Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $150 goes:
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $60
• Refrigeration and electricity: $40
• Baby formula and diapers: $50
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

Take care. Looking forward to the next update. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Thinking of Mbale.
a colleague of mine might know someone for this in Eastern Region. I'll ask around and let you know
