Help Omar keep the the Harvest Pantry pantry stocked
Help keep a free food pantry open for neighbors in need in Shubra.

Since 2023, our volunteer team has run the Harvest Pantry every Thursday from the back of the old library basement. We started with 26 families, and now we feed 186 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 31% this winter, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 15 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Shubra market and keep every receipt.
Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $250 goes:
• Refrigeration and electricity: $70
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $75
• Baby formula and diapers: $105
With deep gratitude,
Omar

Hope it all works out, Omar. More neighborhoods should do this. Greetings from Bacoor.
Sending good thoughts. Hope the build day goes well, wish I lived closer. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like
Hang in there, Omar. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Love from Nuremberg.
Rooting for you, Omar. Shared it with a few friends. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too.
