Olivia is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying an electrical engineering diploma at London State College, and is one semester away from graduating. She has worked as a night-shift cleaner to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $4,150.
The registrar has said Olivia can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Olivia has a first-class average, and an academic advisor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Olivia would lose her place and scholarship eligibility.
Olivia isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
