Oliver runs a volunteer pantry feeding 260 families; this fund restocks shelves for the harvest gap.

Since 2022, our volunteer team has run Bread & Beans Kitchen every Monday from the back of a community center. We started with 9 families, and now we feed 260 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 60% this harvest gap, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 17 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the San Jose market and keep every receipt.
Each $55 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $2,300 goes:
• Baby formula and diapers: $380
• Refrigeration and electricity: $390
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $1,530

Good news. Because of your gifts ($1,806 in total) I met with the wholesaler and confirmed the amounts. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.
Small update. $1,121 so far, we've booked the dates and paid the deposit.
