Gunawan, my brother, passed away on 12 March after a stroke. He was 45 years old. He was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance. The funeral home has given us a quote of $600 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 22 March. I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Gunawan to have a dignified farewell. Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers. Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to a local food bank. Where the $600 goes: • Funeral home services and casket: $450 • Memorial gathering for the family: $40 • Transport of the deceased: $110 I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
