Help Okta keep the the Sunday Shelf pantry stocked
Okta runs a volunteer pantry feeding 209 families; this fund restocks shelves for the summer.

Since 2023, our volunteer team has run the Sunday Shelf every Friday from the back of the old library basement. We started with 26 families, and now we feed 209 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 48% this summer, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 9 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Medan market and keep every receipt.
Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $500 goes:
• Refrigeration and electricity: $60
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $230
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $210
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.
