Okechukwu needs ACL reconstruction at Badagry Community Hospital and the family is $400 short of the hospital's estimate.

Okechukwu was diagnosed with a hip fracture that never healed properly in September. The surgeon at Badagry Community Hospital recommended ACL reconstruction, and He is scheduled for December. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $530, and after what the government subsidy will pay we're still $400 short.
my son has been in and out of Badagry Community Hospital since September. The doctors say a hip fracture that never healed properly will get worse without ACL reconstruction. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $530 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Okechukwu struggles with daily life and can't look after the children alone. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 12 weeks. During that time Okechukwu won't be able to look after the children alone, so the costs keep growing.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.
Where the $400 goes:
• Post-operative medication: $30
• Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $320
• Physiotherapy sessions: $50
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
