Help Okechukwu pay for a craniotomy at Nsukka Community Hospital
After an aortic valve defect, Okechukwu was cleared for a craniotomy, but the bill is more than we can manage.

Okechukwu was diagnosed with an aortic valve defect in July. The surgeon at Nsukka Community Hospital recommended a craniotomy, and He is scheduled for October. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $200, and after what the public health scheme will pay we're still $150 short.
my husband has been in and out of Nsukka Community Hospital since July. The doctors say an aortic valve defect will get worse without a craniotomy. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $200 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Okechukwu struggles with daily life and can't stand for more than ten minutes. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 6 weeks. During that time Okechukwu won't be able to stand for more than ten minutes, so the costs keep growing.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.
Where the $150 goes:
• Travel and lodging for the family: $25
• Post-operative medication: $20
• Physiotherapy sessions: $105
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Hope you get there. After 28 years in retail I know how hard it is to ask for anything. Thinking of Nsukka
hope things get better soon. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like
Take care. Wishing Okechukwu a smooth procedure and a full recovery
Thinking of you. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Love from Entebbe
wishing you peace. I hope things turn around soon. Love from London
