Help Okan lay Songül to rest with dignity in Istanbul
Songül passed away on 10 September; we're raising $1,400 for a respectful funeral in Istanbul.

Songül, my grandmother, passed away on 10 September after a sudden heart attack. She was 34 years old. She was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance.
The funeral home has given us a quote of $1,400 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 26 September.
I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Songül to have a dignified farewell.
Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers.
Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to a local food bank.
Where the $1,400 goes:
• Funeral home services and casket: $750
• Cemetery plot and burial fees: $450
• Transport of the deceased: $120
• Memorial gathering for the family: $80
