Odette is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying a teaching qualification at Marseille State College, and is one semester away from graduating. She has worked as a shop assistant to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $4,500. The registrar has said Odette can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Odette has a distinction average, and a department head has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Odette would lose her place and scholarship eligibility. Odette isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student. The payment will go directly to the Marseille State College bursar's office. I'll post the receipt. Where the $4,500 goes: • Final term tuition: $2,650 • Outstanding tuition balance: $1,500 • Textbooks and materials: $350 I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
