Since 2021, our volunteer team has run the Harvest Pantry every Saturday from the back of a school canteen. We started with 16 families, and now we feed 191 each week. Donations have dropped by about 51% this school holidays, while the line has grown every single week. We rely on volunteers - 11 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Bristol market and keep every receipt. Each $45 feeds a family of four for a week. I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday. Where the $2,050 goes: • Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $700 • Baby formula and diapers: $470 • Fresh vegetables and fruit: $880 Thanks for reading all this.

  • Rooting for you. Looking forward to the next update. After 16 years in accounting I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Take care.

    • Thinking of you. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too.
