Since 2019, our volunteer team has run the Second Helping every Sunday from the back of a borrowed garage. We started with 18 families, and now we feed 138 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 54% this summer, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 9 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Ubud market and keep every receipt.
Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $300 goes:
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $200
• Baby formula and diapers: $40
• Refrigeration and electricity: $60
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Novi
Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. fresh vegetables and fruit comes first ($200) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. Fair thing to want to know.
Thanks for sharing this. Looking forward to the next update. My brother had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. All the best.
