Help Nokuthula through 12 rounds of treatment for multiple myeloma
Nokuthula is facing multiple myeloma and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Nokuthula was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in August. The oncology team at the Soweto Oncology Institute has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in October. She will be away from work for about 6 weeks.
Nokuthula is 51, worked as a hairdresser until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Soweto Oncology Institute 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $1,800 goes:
• Scans and lab work: $240
• Transport to the Soweto Oncology Institute: $150
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,150
• Household costs while unable to work: $260
