Nneka is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying an electrical engineering diploma at Bonny University, and is one term away from graduating. She has worked as a night-shift cleaner to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $850.
The registrar has said Nneka can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Nneka has a distinction average, and a professor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Nneka would lose her place and scholarship eligibility.
Nneka isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the Bonny University bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
