Gwagwalada
Chidi, my brother, passed away on 1 September after a long fight with kidney disease. He was 67 years old. He was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance. The funeral home has given us a quote of $800 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 18 September. I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Chidi to have a dignified farewell. Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers. The funds will be paid directly to the funeral home, and I'll share the receipt. Where the $800 goes: • Funeral home services and casket: $400 • Cemetery plot and burial fees: $290 • Transport of the deceased: $65 • Memorial gathering for the family: $45 Every share and every dollar helps.

  • You're not alone. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. We're a small family in San Jose but we're thinking of you.

    • take care, Nkechi. This could happen to any of us

      • hope you get there. Thinking of Gwagwalada.

        • Keep going, Nkechi. Shared it with a few friends. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. God bless.

          • Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Love from Mapo.
