Nimra was diagnosed with endometriosis requiring surgery in July. The surgeon at Faisalabad Orthopedic Institute recommended laparoscopic endometriosis surgery, and She is scheduled for October. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,200, and after what my insurance will pay we're still $950 short. my mother has been in and out of Faisalabad Orthopedic Institute since July. The doctors say endometriosis requiring surgery will get worse without laparoscopic endometriosis surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,200 is more than we can find. While we wait, Nimra struggles with daily life and can't look after the children alone. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there. Recovery is expected to take about 10 weeks. During that time Nimra won't be able to look after the children alone, so the costs keep growing. The money goes straight to the treatment bills, and I'll share the invoices as they're paid so you can see exactly what your gift did. Where the $950 goes: • Physiotherapy sessions: $75 • Hospital stay (2 nights): $450 • Travel and lodging for the family: $55 • Post-operative medication: $45 • Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $325 You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it. - Laiba

  • is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Nimra.

    • Physiotherapy sessions is $75 of it. Everything else is listed in the story and nothing outside that list comes out of this page. Thanks, that means a lot.
