Help Neema restart a laundry service in Nairobi after a break-in
A laundry service in Nairobi needs help replacing two washing machines and a dryer after a break-in.

For nine years I have run a laundry service in Nairobi. In January, a break-in took two washing machines and a dryer. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Monday, and I employed 3 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 10 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $500 goes:
• Replacing two washing machines and a dryer: $240
• Initial stock: detergent and packaging: $85
• Shop repairs and licensing: $75
• Working capital for the first month: $100
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Hope it all works out. Small businesses are the heart of Nairobi. Hope you're open again soon. Thinking of Nairobi.
Thinking of you and your family, Neema. Shared this with my family. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double.
Hope you make a strong comeback. Thinking of Nairobi
hope you get there. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Thinking of Nairobi.
Sending good thoughts, Neema. I'd happily buy from you once you're back up. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. All the best!
is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Neema.
Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. replacing two washing machines and a dryer comes first ($240) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. Good question.
hope things get better soon, Neema. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. Blessings.
Take care, Neema. I'd happily buy from you once you're back up. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust.
