The the Thursday Table pantry in Karachi is running low just as demand rises; $300 will stock it for 10 weeks.

Since 2019, our volunteer team has run the Thursday Table every Friday from the back of a community center. We started with 24 families, and now we feed 97 each week. Donations have dropped by about 40% this winter, while the line has grown every single week. We rely on volunteers - 18 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Karachi market and keep every receipt. Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week. All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs. Where the $300 goes: • Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $110 • Fresh vegetables and fruit: $70 • Baby formula and diapers: $55 • Refrigeration and electricity: $65 If you're reading this, thank you.

Thinking of you and your family, Naveed. Shared this with my family. Wish I lived closer to Aurangabad so I could bring a meal.
