Nathan was diagnosed with a herniated spinal disc in October. The surgeon at Paris General Hospital recommended a craniotomy, and He is scheduled for January. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $8,250, and after what our health plan will pay we're still $6,250 short.
my husband has been in and out of Paris General Hospital since October. The doctors say a herniated spinal disc will get worse without a craniotomy. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $8,250 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Nathan struggles with daily life and can't lift anything heavy. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 4 weeks. During that time Nathan won't be able to lift anything heavy, so the costs keep growing.
