Natalia is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying an agriculture degree at Tijuana State College, and is one term away from graduating. She has worked as a delivery rider to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $450.
The registrar has said Natalia can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Natalia has a 3.6 average, and a department head has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Natalia would lose her place and scholarship eligibility.
Natalia isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the Tijuana State College bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
Where the $450 goes:
• Final term tuition: $350
• Textbooks and materials: $95
• Exam and lab fees: $5
