Nabirye was diagnosed with a rare sarcoma in July. The oncology team at Thika University Hospital has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in October. She will be away from work for about 4 weeks. Nabirye is 47, worked as a farmer until July, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Thika University Hospital 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $1,500 goes: • Transport to Thika University Hospital: $80 • Scans and lab work: $330 • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,000 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $90 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
