Na-young was diagnosed with a deviated septum causing chronic infections in August. The surgeon at Saint Matthew Hospital recommended knee replacement surgery, and She is scheduled for November. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $6,000, and after what our health plan will pay we're still $4,700 short.
my wife has been in and out of Saint Matthew Hospital since August. The doctors say a deviated septum causing chronic infections will get worse without knee replacement surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $6,000 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Na-young struggles with daily life and can't walk without help. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 5 weeks. During that time Na-young won't be able to walk without help, so the costs keep growing.

Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. post-operative medication comes first ($165) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. Fair thing to want to know.
