The heating account is 4 months behind. Mythili received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on September unless $150 is paid. She had never been late before an unexpected car repair. Mythili called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $20 first, which isn't available. The household includes two young children, and going through winter without heating isn't safe. The children would have no light to study by. Mythili is working on getting back on her feet, and wants to pay it forward once steady. The money will go directly to the utility provider, and I'll post the paid statement here. Where the $150 goes: • Heating arrears: $80 • Reconnection and late fees: $20 • Down payment on a payment plan: $50 Thank you for reading my story. - Yamuna

    • Praying for you, Yamuna. Hope this works out for you. My neighbor in Albany donated after I showed her your page. Blessings.

      • Thinking of you and your family, Yamuna. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. All the best.
