Mwanaisha is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying a degree in civil engineering at Nairobi State College, and is one term away from graduating. She has worked as a shop assistant to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $750. The registrar has said Mwanaisha can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Mwanaisha has a 3.6 average, and a professor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Mwanaisha would lose her place and scholarship eligibility. Mwanaisha isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student. Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees. Where the $750 goes: • Outstanding tuition balance: $180 • Final term tuition: $480 • Exam and lab fees: $40 • Textbooks and materials: $50 If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people. - Byaruhanga
