Awino, my grandmother, passed away on 3 January after a short illness. She was 29 years old. She was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance. The funeral home has given us a quote of $500 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 22 January. I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Awino to have a dignified farewell. Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers. Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to a neighborhood youth program. Where the $500 goes: • Transport of the deceased: $60 • Funeral home services and casket: $330 • Cemetery plot and burial fees: $110 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself. - Mukasa
