Mubashir was diagnosed with a large ovarian cyst in December. The surgeon at Lahore Regional Medical Center recommended laparoscopic cyst removal, and He is scheduled for March. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,000, and after what my insurance will pay we're still $600 short. my son has been in and out of Lahore Regional Medical Center since December. The doctors say a large ovarian cyst will get worse without laparoscopic cyst removal. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,000 is more than we can find. While we wait, Mubashir struggles with daily life and can't drive. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there. Recovery is expected to take about 8 weeks. During that time Mubashir won't be able to drive, so the costs keep growing. I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.
