Salma, my mother, passed away on 19 July after a long fight with kidney disease. She was 80 years old. She was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance. The funeral home has given us a quote of $450 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 27 July. I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Salma to have a dignified farewell. Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers. Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to a local food bank. Where the $450 goes: • Funeral home services and casket: $230 • Cemetery plot and burial fees: $145 • Transport of the deceased: $35 • Memorial gathering for the family: $40 Thank you so much. - Mohammad
