Help Mim keep the Open Hands Pantry pantry stocked
Mim runs a volunteer pantry feeding 149 families; this fund restocks shelves for the school holidays.

Since 2021, our volunteer team has run Open Hands Pantry every Wednesday from the back of the old library basement. We started with 26 families, and now we feed 149 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 31% this school holidays, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 16 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Jessore market and keep every receipt.
Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $350 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $140
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $125
• Baby formula and diapers: $30
• Refrigeration and electricity: $55
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
