The the Harvest Pantry pantry in Adama is running low just as demand rises; $350 will stock it for 6 weeks.

Since 2021, our volunteer team has run the Harvest Pantry every Wednesday from the back of a school canteen. We started with 13 families, and now we feed 156 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 34% this school holidays, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 15 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Adama market and keep every receipt.
Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $350 goes:
• Refrigeration and electricity: $30
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $135
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $185
