Help Michael keep the Bread & Beans Kitchen pantry stocked
Help keep a free food pantry open for families and seniors in Parramatta.

Since 2023, our volunteer team has run Bread & Beans Kitchen every Monday from the back of a community center. We started with 26 families, and now we feed 262 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 52% this harvest gap, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 8 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Parramatta market and keep every receipt.
Each $25 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $3,250 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $1,400
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $1,200
• Baby formula and diapers: $330
• Refrigeration and electricity: $320
Glad we found this place.

Good luck. More neighborhoods should do this. All the best.
Thinking of you, Michael. I hope things turn around soon. Take care.
Keep going, Michael. Gave what I could, wish it was more.
