After a large ovarian cyst, Mia was cleared for a craniotomy, but the bill is more than we can manage.

Mia was diagnosed with a large ovarian cyst in August. The surgeon at Fort Collins Orthopedic Institute recommended a craniotomy, and She is scheduled for October. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,300, and after what the public health scheme will pay we're still $1,050 short. my daughter has been in and out of Fort Collins Orthopedic Institute since August. The doctors say a large ovarian cyst will get worse without a craniotomy. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,300 is more than we can find. While we wait, Mia struggles with daily life and can't work a full shift. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there. The recovery period is expected to take about 10 weeks. During that time Mia won't be able to work a full shift, so the costs keep growing. The money goes straight to the treatment bills, and I'll share the invoices as they're paid so you can see exactly what your gift did. Where the $1,050 goes: • Travel and lodging for the family: $220 • Pre-operative tests and imaging: $480 • Physiotherapy sessions: $350 If you're reading this, thank you. - Ian
