Help me pay for spinal decompression surgery at Zanzibar City Orthopedic Institute

A scheduled spinal decompression surgery in May is out of reach without help covering $300 of the cost.

In February I was diagnosed with a hip fracture that never healed properly. My surgeon at Zanzibar City Orthopedic Institute recommended spinal decompression surgery, and I have been placed on the schedule for May. The hospital's financial office gave me a written estimate of $400, and after what the government subsidy will pay, I'm still $300 short. Doctors at Zanzibar City Orthopedic Institute told me a hip fracture that never healed properly will get worse without spinal decompression surgery. I work as a school bus driver, and I have saved what I can, but the estimate of $400 is far beyond what I've. Until the surgery I can't work full days, and my hours as a school bus driver have already been cut. Every week of waiting means more pain and a bigger risk. Recovery is expected to take about 3 weeks. I'll not be able to lift anything heavy during that time, so this has become a financial emergency as well as a medical one. I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section. Where the $300 goes: • Travel and lodging for the family: $35 • Physiotherapy sessions: $45 • Hospital stay (2 nights): $180 • Pre-operative tests and imaging: $40 Every share and every dollar helps.
