Help me pay for laparoscopic endometriosis surgery at Saint Luke Hospital

A scheduled laparoscopic endometriosis surgery in March is out of reach without help covering $250 of the cost.

In December I was diagnosed with a thyroid nodule that needs removal. My surgeon at Saint Luke Hospital recommended laparoscopic endometriosis surgery, and I have been placed on the schedule for March. The hospital's financial office gave me a written estimate of $500, and after what the government subsidy will pay, I'm still $250 short. Doctors at Saint Luke Hospital told me a thyroid nodule that needs removal will get worse without laparoscopic endometriosis surgery. I work as a farm laborer, and I have saved what I can, but the estimate of $500 is far beyond what I've. Until the surgery I can't work full days, and my hours as a farm laborer have already been cut. Every week of waiting means more pain and a bigger risk. The recovery period is expected to take about 7 weeks. I'll not be able to climb stairs during that time, so this has become a financial emergency as well as a medical one. I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section. Where the $250 goes: • Pre-operative tests and imaging: $120 • Travel and lodging for the family: $60 • Post-operative medication: $70 I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support. - Priscila

  • hope it all works out. Shared it with a few friends. My husband and I read this together. Love from Casablanca.

    • So sorry you're going through this, Priscila. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Wish I lived closer to Quezon City so I could bring a meal. God bless.

      • Sending love. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. Don't be hard on yourself for asking.

        • Hope things get better soon, Priscila. It takes guts to ask. Well done. God bless
