Help me pay for laparoscopic cyst removal at Mumbai Orthopedic Institute
After gallstones with repeated infections, Prakash was cleared for laparoscopic cyst removal, but the bill is more than we can manage.

In August I was diagnosed with gallstones with repeated infections. My surgeon at Mumbai Orthopedic Institute recommended laparoscopic cyst removal, and I have been placed on the schedule for November. The hospital's financial office gave me a written estimate of $630, and after what our health plan will pay, I'm still $500 short.
Doctors at Mumbai Orthopedic Institute told me gallstones with repeated infections will get worse without laparoscopic cyst removal. I work as a delivery rider, and I have saved what I can, but the estimate of $630 is far beyond what I've.
Until the surgery I can't work full days, and my hours as a delivery rider have already been cut. Every week of waiting means more pain and a bigger risk.
The recovery period is expected to take about 7 weeks. I'll not be able to work a full shift during that time, so this has become a financial emergency as well as a medical one.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.
Where the $500 goes:
• Physiotherapy sessions: $95
• Post-operative medication: $55
• Travel and lodging for the family: $25
• Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $325
